Privacy Policy for Mood Idea Box

Mood Idea Box ("we", "our", "us") helps users capture ideas and track related mood patterns. This Privacy Policy explains what data is used when you use the Mood Idea Box Android app.

1. Data We Use

Mood Idea Box may access the following on your device:

• Camera: used when you take photos for ideas.
• Photos/Media library: used when you attach existing images to ideas.
• Notifications: used for local reminders and prompts you enable in settings.
• Internet access: used for optional OCR text extraction from images when you choose "Extract Text."

2. Data Collection and Sharing

• Mood Idea Box does not require account sign-in.
• Core mood and idea records are stored locally on your device.
• We do not sell personal data.
• If you use OCR, image content is sent to Google Cloud Vision to extract text. This is an optional feature initiated by you.
• If you export/share files, your selected share target receives the exported content.

3. Local Data and Retention

• Moods, ideas, tags, status history, and image notes are stored in local app storage.
• Attached images remain in your device storage and are referenced by the app.
• You can edit or delete entries in the app at any time.
• Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device, subject to Android behavior.

4. Permissions

Mood Idea Box requests permissions only when needed for feature use:

• Camera
• Photos/Media
• Notifications

You can deny or revoke permissions in Android system settings. Some features may not work without the related permission.

5. OCR Processing

OCR is optional. If used, the image is sent to Google Cloud Vision to return extracted text. OCR usage can be limited per day in-app.

6. Children's Privacy

Mood Idea Box is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect app data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
