Privacy Policy for PaintMe

PaintMe ("we", "our", "us") is a creative photo app for making paint-by-numbers projects, editing colours, and generating printable paint guides and reference images. This Privacy Policy explains what data is used when you use the PaintMe app.

1. Data We Use

PaintMe may access the following on your device:

• Camera: used when you take a new photo inside the app.
• Photos/Media library: used when you import an existing image from your device or save generated images to your gallery.
• Files you choose to import or export: used when you import or export project backups, zip files, PDFs, or generated images through the system picker or share sheet. PaintMe does not request broad file access.
• Local app storage: used to save projects, settings, and progress on your device.
• Internet access: used to send images and settings to a configured processing server for preview, outline, paint-by-numbers, and PDF generation.

2. Data Collection and Sharing

• PaintMe does not require account sign-in.
• We do not sell personal data.
• Most project data is stored locally on your device.
• When you use server-based editing or generation features, image data and related settings may be sent to the configured server so the app can create previews, outlines, or paint-by-numbers results.
• If you export or share a file, the selected share target receives only the content you choose to send.
• PaintMe does not use your content for advertising or tracking.

3. Projects and Images

• Imported photos, generated previews, paint progress, and related project settings are stored locally on your device.
• You can delete projects from within the app.
• Exported zip files and images are created only when you choose to export or share them.
• Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device, subject to Android behavior.

4. Permissions

PaintMe requests permissions only when needed for feature use:

• Camera
• Photos/Media
• Access through the system picker and share sheet

You can deny or revoke permissions in Android system settings. Some features may not work without the related permission.

5. Server Processing

Some PaintMe features use a processing server to generate previews, reduced images, outlines, paint-by-numbers data, or printable PDFs. If you use those features, the app sends the necessary image data and settings to that server and receives the generated result back.

If you run your own server or connect to a self-hosted server, the privacy and retention of that server depend on how you configure it.

6. Children's Privacy

PaintMe is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect app data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
